“Teaching people how to work with food is what I love most about my role,” said Lisa L., the Hillside store’s new Deli Manager. “The skills that people learn in kitchens are skills they take with them the rest of their lives.”
Lisa is a longtime Owner and shopper of the Co-op – especially the Deli! “I’ve been in food management for almost 30 years and when I saw this opportunity come up, I knew right away that I wanted to apply. I’ve always been impressed with the Deli’s menu and it was something I have always wanted to do.”
Lisa is also attracted to the sense of community at Whole Foods Co-op, both within its walls but also its investment in its surrounding communities. “It’s intrinsically rewarding to be a part of a community that gives back to the community.”
