Spend up to $10 on fresh fruits and vegetables on Tuesdays at Whole Foods Co-op, and you’ll receive a matching amount in Fresh Dollars, which you can use to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables during your next shopping trip.
Anyone (whether they’re an Owner of the Co-op or not) enrolled in a Qualifying Program (listed below) is invited to sign up for free!
To sign up, simply stop by our Customer Service Counter at either store. We’ll ask for your contact information and proof of participation in a Qualifying Program. You’ll receive a card that you can scan when you check out. If you are an Owner, you’ll just need to provide your Owner card, as usual. Participation is validated on a yearly basis. Limit one Fresh Dollars account per household.
Owners enrolled in Whole Foods Co-op Essentials Discount before August 4, 2026 have been automatically be enrolled in Fresh Dollars! You will recieve Fresh Dollars in addition to the Co-op Essentials Discount.

When/where can I use the voucher?
The voucher is valid right away and can be used anytime in the next 28 days at either Whole Foods Co-op Denfeld or Hillside store.
How many times can I get a Fresh Dollars voucher?
Participants are eligible for one voucher per week.
What can I use Fresh Dollars on?
Fresh Dollars can be spent on any fresh produce at Whole Foods Co-op, including seeds and plants that will grow edible foods. The program does not include pre-made items such as salsa, salad dressings, juices, etc.
Who can participate?
ANYONE who is enrolled in a Qualifying Program (listed below) is invited to enroll.
Do you need to be an Owner of Whole Foods Co-op to participate?
No! Anyone enrolled in a Qualifying Program can sign up.
If you’re an Owner and signed up, you’ll receive Fresh Dollars when you give your Owner number. If you’re not an Owner, you’ll be given a card to scan at the time of checkout.
If I’m signed up for the Co-op Essentials Discount, do I need to sign up for this too?
If you were enrolled in the Co-op Essentials Discount program before August 4, 2026, you were automatically enrolled in Fresh Dollars. When you purchase produce on Tuesdays, you’ll be issued a Fresh Dollars voucher.
Can I receive the Co-op Essentials Discount and Fresh Dollars?
Yes! If you’re enrolled in both programs, on Tuesdays you’ll receive 20% off your produce purchase through the Co-op Essentials Discount PLUS the matching voucher for the total you spend.

How is this program funded?
Fresh Dollars is funded by Essentia Health in partnership with Whole Foods Co-op.
Will Whole Foods Co-op share my information with anyone?
Whole Foods Co-op will not share any of your identifying information. The Co-op will share high-level overall program usage data as well as anonymous survey feedback with Essentia Health.
How do I sign up?
Signing up is quick and easy! You can sign up at the Customer Service Counter at either store. Please bring proof of participation in a qualifying program. Annual renewal is required.
Qualifying Programs
To qualify for Fresh Dollars please bring proof of participation in one of the following programs to our Customer Service Counter at either store:
- Emergency Assistance Program (St. Louis County or the Salvation Army)
- Energy Assistance Program (AEOA)
- Medical Assistance (MA)/Medicaid
- Section 8 or HRA Housing Program
- SNAP (EBT)
- Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI or RSDI)
- WIC (Women, Infants, Children)
The Fresh Dollars program is sponsored by Essentia Health and will also be partially funded through the GIVE! Round Up program starting in 2027.
