Whole Foods Co‑op Farm Tour
Tour three of our local farms with Whole Foods Co-op! Meet the farmers, learn about how they farm, why it matters, and how local food moves from field to shelf in Northern Minnesota.
We’ll take a motorcoach to tour three farms in Wrenshall – Food Farm, Northern Harvest Farm / Spirit Creek, and Y-ker Acres – then head to Chambers Grove Park for a picnic lunch with boxed lunches from the Co-op.
Space is limited. Registration is required by Sunday, August 16.
The motorcoach will leave the Whole Foods Co-op Denfeld store parking lot promptly at 9am. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early to check in. Water, snacks, and sandwiches will be provided. When registering, you will also be given a choice of sandwiches for your boxed lunch.
We will be touring working farms, which include live animals and electric fences. Expect to walk and/or be on your feet for about 45-60 minutes at a time. Note that the ground may be uneven and/or muddy. Please dress for the weather (rain or shine – or hot!), including comfortable shoes that may get wet or muddy. All children must be accompanied by an adult. This tour is not a good fit for children younger than 12. Because these are working farms, service animals are not able to join this tour. We will be taking a kneeling motorcoach, which allows the front end to lower itself to the height of the curb.
If cost is a barrier, a limited amount of tickets are available at a reduced rate to those with low incomes. These tickets are available on a first-come-first-served basis. To inquire about availability, email jenna@wholefoods.coop.
