The Project
Grant funds went towards constructing a hoop house, purchasing deer fencing, and purchasing a freeze-dryer.
Environmental Impact
Roper Farms added drip irrigation, increased honeybees and native plantings, and continues regenerative farming practices. The hoop house project increased capacity and extended the growing season, enabling them to be a food producer for the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa.
