This class will teach us how to make ice cream using old-fashioned techniques. We will use ice, salt, and a hand churn to make one batch and an electric mixer for another batch to compare the texture and flavor. We’ll briefly discuss the chemistry of the process and create two flavors: vanilla and mint chocolate chip. You can choose to add mix-ins if you like. We’ll take turns cranking the mixer as we enjoy this time-honored social tradition.
