Mom's Apple Pie
Ingredients
- 1 9-inch pre-made piecrust
- FILLING:
- ¾ C white sugar
- ¼ C white flour
- ½ t nutmeg
- ½ t cinnamon
- 6 C tart apples , thinly sliced
- TOPPING:
- 1 C white flour
- ½ C brown sugar
- ½ C butter
Instructions
- Make the filling: Mix sugar, flour and spices together. Add the sliced apples. Turn into piecrust.
- Make the topping: Mix together until crumbly, and top apple filling.
- Bake at 425°F for 50 minutes. Cover top with the foil the last 10 minutes of baking to prevent top from browning too quickly.
