Northwoods: An Intro to Medicinal Trees of Northern Minnesota

The Northwoods are rich in biodiversity. We are so lucky to live here in that we have access to thousands of acres of diverse forestlands that are home to many medicinal tree species. Tree medicines are abundant by their very nature and can offer incredible benefits to our immune systems, hormone health, digestion, skin, respiratory system, metabolism, and more.
Join Master Herbalist and ecologist Emma Day to learn about three medicinal trees, how to harvest and prepare their medicines ethically, and how to utilize their vitality to support yourself and your family. Time will be spent in lecture + discussion; please bring a journal to take notes.
Topics covered:
- The ecology, habitat, and physical characteristics/ID of 5 local medicinal tree species.
- How to ethically gather, process, and prepare their medicine for maximum healing efficacy.
- Recipes and sound combinations.
- An introduction to their medicinal actions and how to work with them to build preventative wellness.”
