Snickerdoodles
Ingredients
- ½ C softened butter or margarine
- 1 C sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 C whole wheat pastry flour
- 2 t cream of tartar
- 1 t baking soda
- ½ t salt
- 2 t cinnamon
- 2 T sugar
Instructions
- Cream the butter, sugar and eggs. Add flour, leavenings (press out the lumps in the palm of your hand) and salt.
- In another small bowl combine the cinnamon and sugar. Gently roll the soft dough into 1” balls or let your kids do it.
- Roll each dough ball in the cinnamon sugar and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake at 400° for 8–10 minutes.
