Chinese Veggie Chicken Salad Dressing
Ingredients
- 2 T sugar (ok to use raw)
- 1 T cornstarch
- 1 C water
- 3 T soy sauce
- ¼ C canola oil
- 1 t sesame oil
- ½ t chinese five spice powder (optional)
- 2-3 T rice vinegar , to taste
Instructions
- In small saucepan, stir together sugar and cornstarch. Slowly stir in water. Add soy, oil, sesame oil and five spice powder, if using. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick and clear, about 3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in vinegar. Set aside to cool somewhat. Pour over salad just before serving.
