Below is a preview of the GIVE! Non-profit Support Program requirements and online application. This preview is for preparation purposes only and is subject to change without notice; applicants will be required to submit an online application.
In 2024, selected organizations could receive approximately $4,000 – $6,000.
ELIGIBILITY:
Non-partisan and non-sectarian 501(c)(3) designated nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply. Priority will be given to organizations that serve the Twin Ports area of Duluth, MN, and Superior, WI. Applicant organizations must be engaged in activities that address one or more of the following funding priorities:
- Environmental Stewardship
- Equity and Diversity
- Food Access
- Local Food Economy
Please note: An organization may be a GIVE! recipient once per calendar year. Past funding does not guarantee future support. Whole Foods Co-op reserves the right to preempt the GIVE! schedule to raise emergency or disaster relief funds. Applicants who have not been funded in the prior year may be given priority in the selection process. Co-op Owners and Staff vote on final organizations.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for the GIVE! Non-profit Support Program applications must be received by August 1, 2023, and include the following documents.
- .pdf of IRS Nonprofit Determination Letter
- Organization Logo (.AI or .EPS file formats preferred OR at least 300 DPI)
- Three high-resolution (at least 300 DPI) images illustrating the organization’s activities
SUBMISSION TIMELINE: Monday, June 26, 2023 – Tuesday, August 1, 2023
Submit the completed application (including required uploads) by completing the online form. Applications are due August 1, 2023, by 11:59 pm.
Complete applications will be reviewed for program eligibility by a team of Whole Foods Co-op employees. A pool of finalists will be presented to Whole Foods Co-op Owners to vote on as a part of the October 2023 owner ballot. 2024 GIVE! Non-profit Support Program recipients will be announced at the Annual Owner Meeting on Monday, October 16th, 2023, and highlighted in the Winter Issue of the Garbanzo Gazette newsletter, published in January 2024.
Content submitted in your application, including photo submissions, may be used in publications including, but not limited to, the Whole Foods Co-op (WFC) newsletters and/or promotional materials on the WFC website, WFC social media accounts, in advertising, or in similar ways. Your application answers may be printed or published word-for-word.
