SUMMARY:Grow Local Food Fund Grant Writing Class
DESCRIPTION:Are you thinking of applying for the Grow Local Food Fund (GLFF) in 2027 but don’t have deep experience in grant writing? \nWhole Foods Co-op is proud to host this free\, virtual grant writing class\, taught by experienced Grant Writer\, Cameron Kruger\, to provide grant writing best practices\, tailored to the GLFF application. Attendees will also be able to ask questions at the end. \nAll are welcome to attend\, but please register by December 7 at noon to receive a link to the virtual meeting. \nThis meeting is being offered by Whole Foods Co-op as a service to local farmers and food producers. Attendance will have no direct influence on the awarding of the grants. However\, it’s the goal of the class to provide attendees tools to write a strong application. \nThe 2027 Grow Local Food Fund grant application window will be open December 14\, 2026 – January 24\, 2027. The GLFF is a grant program funded by Whole Foods Co-op shoppers by rounding up at the registers to help strengthen the local food economy. Grants of up to $7\,000 are awarded every spring to regional farmers and food producers who have projects that will make the regional food economy more sustainable and resilient. \n  \nAbout Cameron Kruger \nCameron is the Founder and Lead Consultant of That Nonprofit Guy\, which works to build the capacity of small and large nonprofits. Cameron was previously the President/CEO of the Duluth Children’s Museum\, and served in several roles at the Duluth YMCA\, including managing federal grant programs\, and as the Human Resource Director and then Chief Information Officer. He holds a Master’s in Organizational Leadership from Springfield College and teaches in Southern New Hampshire University’s Organizational Leadership department.
