How do I Become a Member Owner?
Just tell the clerk the next time you're in the store that you'd like to become a co-op Member-Owner. It takes about 5 minutes at the Customer Service Counter to fill out your contact information and ring up your payment. It couldn't be easier.
How much?
The current cost of Membership is $100.
We have two payment options:
- Full payment: if you choose to pay the full $100 at once, you will receive a $5 gift certificate as a "thank you" from us.
- Payment plan: if you choose the payment plan, you must make a minimum payment of $20 (this represents your voting right). You have up to 2 years to pay the rest, in any increment, at any time at the registers, at Customer Service, or through the mail.
We do have assistance available for people who are low income. If you fall within the established income guidelines, you may be eligible to have part of your Ownership paid by the Fran Skinner Memorial Fund. The first $20 (your voting right) must be paid by you. You then have up to 2 years to pay the remaining amount in any increment, at any time at the registers, at Customer Service, or through the mail. If, at the end of the two year payment plan, you are unable to pay your equity in full, fill out a Fran Skinner application located at Customer Service and turn it in to them or mail it to the store, attention: Member Services. The income guidelines and description of the fund are on the application. The application will be turned in to the Board for consideration. They will advise you of any funds dispersed on your behalf.
