Health and Body Care Department

Your Health and Body Care (HBC) department carries everything you need to be healthy and beautiful, inside and out. Vitamins, herbs, supplements, shampoos, lotions, and other body care items are conveniently located in the center of the store and our friendly staff is willing to help you. In addition to our great staff, we also offer you Healthnotes, an electronic, interactive health information kiosk right in the HBC department. It is our goal in HBC to offer non-toxic and non- or naturally scented body and hair care products. With body care products, the emphasis is on natural, non- or naturally scented, hypoallergenic products that reflect our ideals (no animal testing, no animal products). Only non-toxic baby care items will be offered. Scented items will be enclosed whenever possible. We support companies that use organic ingredients in their products.

Our supplement section offers you a variety of organic, wild-crafted, and freeze-dried herbals, and a large line of supplements that meet stringent requirements of state and federal FDA including our own Whole Foods Co-op private label supplements. Flax oil, acidophilus, Echinacea, ginkgo, progesterone creams, and vitamins A,B,C,D,&E are just a few out of many products that you will find in our HBC area with hundreds more available through special order. 

HBC Food Policy: With cosmetics, the emphasis will also be on natural, non-perfumed, hypoallergenic products that reflect our ideals (no animal testing, no animal products). Only non-toxic baby care items will be offered. Perfumed items will be enclosed whenever possible. To accommodate the needs of sensitive patrons, staff will not wear scented products while on duty.
