Candidate Profiles

Candidates were asked to respond to the following questions:

• Why would you like to serve on the Board of Directors of Whole Foods Co-op and what do you hope to accomplish?
• What skills or experience will you bring to this Board?
• What opportunities and challenges do you see in the future for Whole Foods Co-op?

PREVIEW OF MEMBER LINKAGE SURVEY

The Board of Directors obtains its authority from and represents WFC's Member-Owners. The Board is responsible for linkage with Owners and reporting to the Owners on the Board's activities and decisions. Please advise the Board of your opinions by responding to the following:

1. Vote for ONE (1) local, mission-related non-profit agency to receive a cash donation from WFC for the balance of unclaimed abandoned equity that will be allocated later in 2008:
   • Community Action Duluth
   • Duluth Area Foundation
   • Duluth Community Garden Program (DCGP)
   • Environmental Association for Great Lakes Education (EAGLE)
   • Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS)
   • Northern Communities Land Trust (NCLT)
   • Organic Consumers Association (OCA)
   • Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank
   • Sustainable Farming Association (SFA)
   • United Way of Duluth
2. Nominate a local, mission-related non-profit agency to receive a cash donation in a future year for the balance of unclaimed abandoned equity allocated by WFC.
3. Check one or more comments on your response to using or the opportunity to use the on-line voting option:
   • On-line voting reduces waste and expense relating to paper ballots
   • On-line voting is more convenient than a paper ballot
   • On-line voting is not as secure as a paper ballot
   • On-line voting option is not for me
